What does the Joomla Login Redirect plugin do?

Simply put, the Joomla Login Redirect plugin remembers the previous page that was browsed and redirects you back to that page on a successful login.

Why was the Joomla Login Redirect plugin created?

The Joomla Login Redirect plugin was created due to semi missing functionality of Joomla. I like to edit pages from the front of the website as I see them, so often I would browse a clients site and see a page that needed correction and I would then click a link to login with the purpose of correcting the problem. Once I had logged into my clients site I would be redirected to the home page instead of the page I wanted to edit, thus forcing me to find the article again. I wanted to be able to see that page I wanted to adjust, click login, enter my cretentials and then be redirected back to the page I wanted to edit. While the Joomla module supported the redirect the component  or direct links would not.

How do I install?

1. Download the Plugin located here.
2. Log into Administration
3. Go to the Extensions menu and click Install/Uninstall
4. Click Browse and select the downloaded file
5. Go to the Extensions menu and click Plugin Manager
6. Tick the checkbox next to Login Redirect and click Enable

What do I do now?

Joomla Login Redirect is now enabled and running!
